Phase Two Starts

 Hello friends,

Well, Phase Two of our great adventure has finally started.

As I told you in my last post, my human parents and I had planned to start in the spring of 2020 when the weather warmed up, then COVID-19 struck and we were quarantined along with the rest of our nation. My Mom is a retired epidemiologist so she was really worried about the pandemic and took every precaution available. Even so, of the sixteen people in our family, six of them contracted the disease. Fortunately, none of them became seriously ill and none were hospitalized for COVID.

A year in purgatory ended when both of my parents were fully vaccinated at the end of February and most of the rest of our family are nearly done getting their shots too.

Tomorrow we start on our great adventure by heading south to see three National Parks, Shenandoah, New River Gorge(the newest National Park), and the Great Smoky Mountains.

Well, we have to go pack for the trip. So I will keep dictating to my Dad each day and we will let you all know where we are and what we are seeing and doing.

Bye for now!
